Welcome aboard! I'm Captain Hara Gabrielle, owner of Redemption Fishing Company. My goal is simple: to provide an honest, enjoyable, and memorable experiences on some of the most beautiful inshore waters surrounding Pensacola. I fish Blackwater Bay, Pensacola Bay, Escambia Bay, East Bay, and surrounding estuaries. Rather than fishing the same location every day, I plan each trip around the conditions we're given. Tides, weather, seasonal fish patterns, water clarity, and recent activity all help determine where we'll have the best opportunity for success. Sometimes that means launching from a different location to put us on the best water available. Choosing the right trip is one of the most important parts of planning your day on the water.If you're looking for a fun introduction to fishing, have young children, or simply want to spend a couple of hours enjoying nature, the 2-hour trip on Blackwater Bay is a wonderful way to experience these beautiful waters. For most guests, I recommend The Captain's Choice 4-hour trip. It offers the best balance of fishing time, flexibility, and opportunity while allowing us to adjust to changing conditions and enjoy the experience without feeling rushed. If your primary goal is catching fish, I encourage you to consider the 6-hour trip. More time on the water gives us greater flexibility to locate actively feeding fish, adapt to changing tides and weather, and make thoughtful decisions throughout the day. <h2>Meet Captain Hara Gabrielle</h2> <h3>Meet Captain Hara</h3>I can still remember the first time I fell asleep on the white sandy shore of the Blackwater River. I was just a teenager, but something about that experience changed me. Surrounded by quiet water, towering pines, and the sounds of nature, I felt a connection I had never experienced before. From that moment on, these waters became my refuge. Whenever life felt busy, uncertain, or overwhelming, I found my way back to the Blackwater. The Blackwater River, the Yellow River, and the surrounding estuaries are where I found peace, perspective, and a place where I truly belonged. In 2022, after my youngest child left home to serve in the United States Marine Corps, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life. I sold my house, bought a houseboat named Wild Woman, and moved aboard at a marina on Blackwater Bay. For the next four years, I woke up every morning surrounded by the waters that have shaped so much of my life. Today I still call that marina home, living just steps from the bay that continues to inspire me every single day. Those years living on the water deepened more than my appreciation for nature—they sharpened my understanding of it. Successful inshore fishing isn't about luck. It's about reading tides, understanding seasonal fish movements, watching weather patterns, finding clean water, locating bait, and making thoughtful decisions throughout the day. Every trip I run begins long before my guests arrive, and every decision is made with one goal in mind: giving us the best opportunity to succeed with the conditions we're given. As a U.S. Coast Guard–licensed 25-Ton Master Captain with a towing endorsement, CPR certification, and certification as an American Sailing Association sailing instructor, I believe preparation, safety, and professionalism are just as important as fishing knowledge. Whether you're stepping onto a boat for the first time or you've spent a lifetime chasing redfish and speckled trout, my goal is to make you feel welcome, confident, and well cared for. Now it's my passion to create opportunities for others to experience what these waters have given me. Through fishing, exploring, and simply slowing down, I hope every guest has the chance to reconnect with nature, the people they love, and the things that truly matter. I believe there's something healing about being on the water. It reminds us to breathe a little deeper, laugh a little more, and appreciate the beauty that's been here all along. Just as importantly, I hope to inspire others to protect and preserve this incredible way of life so future generations can experience the same sense of wonder, peace, and connection these waters have given me.
